We've been talking about it. We've been planning for it. And now, it's finally happening.
RGV Devs is holding its very first official event on Tuesday, April 14th, and we want you there. This is a huge milestone for our community, and every single person who walks through the door helps us prove that the Rio Grande Valley has a thriving, passionate developer scene.
What We're Building
This isn't a slide deck meetup. For our debut, we're going all-in on a live code walkthrough of a complete, real-world project: an AI-powered brand engine that scaffolds social media posts, blog outlines, and image prompts.
We'll tear down the entire codebase and show you how the pieces fit together:
- ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs — A lean, high-performance backend for AI orchestration and content generation.
- Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF) — Orchestrating complex AI prompts and managing brand context for consistent, usable output.
- Blazor WebAssembly — A sleek, modern management frontend for controlling and reviewing generated content.
If you've ever wondered how to move from "Hello World" AI demos to a system that actually produces usable assets, this session is for you.
The Agenda: Learning by Doing
We've structured the evening around hands-on learning and community connection:
- 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Welcome & Networking — Meet your fellow RGV devs, grab a seat, and say hello.
- 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: The Deep Dive — A full code walkthrough of the AI Brand Engine, from Minimal API endpoints and MAF agent orchestration to the Blazor WASM frontend.
- 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Q&A, Project Show & Tell, and Closing Remarks — Ask questions, share what you're working on, and help us shape what comes next.
